1959 "BB"と名付けたこのピックアップ。
"BB"とはBlues Blood"の略。日常のたわいもない事、悲しさ、辛さ、そして細やか楽しみ、ブルースは苦しい中から生まれた叫び声であり、願いの声。

そんなブルースのプレイヤーが一音一音に込めた想いを拾う感度の良さがこのピックアップの持ち味。
音色は1963"Vertigo"が明るめのトーンであるのに対しBBは少しダークで低中域が太め。
Fender社が1958年頃からストラトキャスターのピックアップを徐々にS極トップに変更して行く過渡期をイメージして仕上げてあります。皆様がイメージされるスラブボード期のサウンドを意識しております。

巻き方向もオリジナル同様CW、クロスワイドを多く盛り込み癖の無いヴィンテージ嗜好の強いピックアップに仕上がっております。

基本的な部分（巻き方向やマグネット、磁極など）はヴィンテージ を踏襲して製作していますが何よりそのサウンドの「雰囲気」に重きを置いています。
2024年に入り幸運にもリアルヴィンテージと比較する機会がありました。ネックポジションでの比較がメインでしたが6弦のトーンが若干弱く思えましたがかなり近いトーンで私を含めた立会者共々ちょっとした驚きでした(使用アンプはSurhPT-15)。
ギターの個体差はありますがヴィンテージトーンを踏襲していると考えて頂いて差し支え無いと思います。

プレイヤーの弾き方次第で色々なトーンを楽しめる"BB"、是非お試しを。
